Unstoppable Domains Overview
Unstoppable Domains is creating what they call “free speech technology made for everyone.” At the moment, two of the main services provided by this company include blockchain domains and decentralized hosting.
Unstoppable Domains is working with two different extensions .Zil and .Crypto. The .Zil domain is created on the Zilliqa (ZIL) blockchain, while the .Crypto extension works on top of the Ethereum (ETH) network. Despite that, both of these extensions offer the same features.
The main difference between blockchain domains and traditional domains is related to self-custody. When you get your domain, you claim it using your wallet, and you get an ERC-721 token. Using a traditional .com domain would not allow you to do so. You don’t really own that domain.
Only the person that has the keys to the wallet where the ERC-721 token is would be able to access the domain. At the same time, it is also a payment gateway because you can also pair your crypto wallet address and receive payments through it.
Another use case is that crypto domains allow clients to create uncensorable websites. These websites are stored in a decentralized manner and nobody more than the owner can modify them. Users can create their own websites or use a wide range of templates offered by Unstoppable Domains.
How to Get Your Own Crypto Domain?
A crypto domain would help you, as we mentioned before, to get paid by using just a blockchain-based domain name. Wallet addresses can certainly be annoying. They are difficult to remember and not easy to share. However, by having a domain name, you can connect it to your wallet address and you will get paid immediately.
You can buy your own crypto domain by using Unstoppable Domains. The main site will already allow you to search for a domain name. If this is available, you will be able to buy it.

If you want to buy it, you can pay with cryptocurrencies or PayPal. You can also see which domains are taken. Once you buy your domain, you will be able to connect it to your wallet address. You can use, for example, Metamask.
Once you purchase the domain (the transaction needs to be confirmed), you go to the “My Domains” section, and you will have all the data about this domain. You can link to your domain different wallets, including your BTC and ETH wallets.
How to Add Crypto Wallets to Your Crypto Domain?
If you have purchased an Unstoppable Domain, you can add different crypto wallets to it. You can select “Manage” in the “My Domains” section. You will be able to very easily add your crypto wallets.
It is just necessary to add a wide range of wallet addresses. That includes the addresses of your Ledger Nano S / X, Metamask, Trezor or many others. This would make it very easy for other people to send you funds to your wallets without having to type them. They can simply paste your domain while sending you a transaction. However, take into consideration that not all wallets support Crypto Domains.
