How the blockchain directory is built
We include active, publicly documented networks that can be represented with useful, traceable information. The directory does not claim to contain every blockchain ever created.
Source precedence
- Manual verified overrides and official network documentation
- ChainList for EVM configuration
- Alchemy for supported provider templates
- DefiLlama for chain TVL and application association
- CoinGecko for native-asset markets and exchanges
Safety and validation
Primary endpoint lists accept only HTTPS and WSS URLs, reject local addresses, preserve source attribution and never insert provider API secrets. Endpoints are displayed, not automatically called from a visitor’s browser.
Ranking
Exchange rankings use active native-asset markets, liquidity, volume and trust data when available. App rankings prioritize verified chain association, chain-specific TVL or usage, editorial status and alphabetical order. Missing evidence is shown as not verified rather than estimated.
Coverage and updates
Testnets, deprecated networks, temporary devnets and insufficiently sourced entries are excluded from the default view. Automated sources are designed for daily or twice-daily refreshes. Stored data keeps pages available during provider outages.
Attribution and licenses
ChainList data is provided under the GNU GPL v3 license. DefiLlama API and CoinGecko data remain subject to their provider terms. Official network facts link back to the network documentation on every profile.
